About

Get To Know Jonathan

Faith. Family. Fiddle.

Jonathan H. Warren is a professional violinist and fiddle player who has built his career on connection, versatility, and heart. He currently tours with country artist Ian Munsick as the fiddle player and mandolinist for Ian’s band, Rocky Mountain Fever, where he brings a dynamic presence and joyful smile to each performance—whether it’s a foot-stomping solo or a tender, heartfelt moment.

Before joining Ian’s band in 2024, Jonathan spent nearly two years on the road with country music legend Chris Cagle, who became both a mentor and a friend. That season shaped him deeply as a performer and continues to influence the way he approaches the stage.

Jonathan began playing violin at the age of eight with a classical foundation, but his love for performing quickly led him beyond the recital hall. By high school, he was already playing in bands, and later went on to earn a Commercial Violin Performance degree from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. While there, he co-founded Cumberland Run, a group that secured regular residencies at venues like Margaritaville, Ole Red, and the Wildhorse Saloon in downtown Nashville.

After graduating in 2014, Jonathan embraced the freelance life—busking on Nashville streets, playing late-night gigs, and saying yes to any chance to grow. From 2014 to 2016, he toured the country with Christian artists such as Lara Landon, Rachael Mann, and Livingsong, using music as a tool for encouragement and ministry.

Over the years, he’s been honored to collaborate with artists across a wide range of styles, including:

The Swon Brothers, The Hootz, Willow Hill, Jess Kellie Adams, Ian Flanigan, Andy Velo, Maddye Trew, Jeff McMahon, BRIDGES String Quartet, Tracy Silverman, Emily Summers, and Offering.

Jonathan is grateful for the path he’s been on and gives God the credit for every opportunity. Whether on stage or off, he hopes to share joy, serve others well, and keep growing as both a musician and a person.

When he’s not on tour, Jonathan loves collaborating with other creatives, recording new music, and making memories with his wife and daughter—the heart and soul behind everything he does.
